Hello {{ First name | Swif Community}},

Android phones and tablets have become critical business endpoints. They access company data, run essential applications, and support employees working from nearly anywhere. Securing these devices requires more than enrolling them in an MDM. IT teams also need current visibility into device health, while employees need to understand whether their devices meet company security requirements.

Today, we are launching Swif Mobile Security for Android, a purpose-built management agent that brings real-time security and compliance visibility directly to enrolled Android devices.

The new app creates a closer connection between each managed Android device and the Swif administrative console. IT administrators and device users can now see the same compliance status, understand important security changes, and respond more quickly when action is required. (Swif.ai)

One shared view of Android compliance

A compliance dashboard is only useful when it reflects what is actually happening on the device.

Swif Mobile Security synchronizes each Android device’s compliance status with your organization’s Swif console. The agent is connected to the device’s unique MDM enrollment identifier, helping ensure that the information displayed in the mobile app corresponds to the correct device in the administrative console.

Users can see one of three clear compliance states:

Device is compliant

The device currently meets the organization’s assigned security requirements and policies.

Device is not compliant

One or more requirements have not been met. The user or an administrator may need to take action.

Checking

Swif Mobile Security is validating the device against the latest policies and security requirements.

This gives administrators and employees a common understanding of device health, without requiring users to contact IT simply to determine whether their device is secure. (Swif.ai)

A security activity feed built for transparency

Swif Mobile Security includes a dedicated activity screen that gives users visibility into important security events on their devices.

Instead of presenting a long list of technical application logs, the activity feed focuses on meaningful compliance updates, including:

  • Changes to device security policies

  • Compliance status transitions

  • Important device security events

This helps employees understand when their device’s security state has changed and provides more context when remediation is required. It also creates a clearer connection between the policies configured by IT and the experience on the managed device. (Swif.ai)

Faster response to remote administrative actions

When a device falls out of compliance, speed matters.

Swif Mobile Security uses push notifications to help the Android agent respond more quickly to remote administrative actions initiated from the Swif console. This reduces the delay between an administrator sending an action and the managed device receiving it.

For distributed teams, mobile workforces, field operations, and company-owned Android fleets, faster communication between the administrative console and the endpoint can make device management more responsive and reliable. (Swif.ai)

Flexible authentication for different users

Users can access Swif Mobile Security in two ways.

Sign in with Google

Employees can authenticate using Google Sign-In, integrated through Auth0, for secure access to the full enterprise experience.

Continue as Guest

Users can also continue without signing in to view basic compliance information for the device.

This allows organizations to provide useful device security visibility without requiring every user to complete a full authentication flow before checking basic device health. (Swif.ai)

Privacy-conscious location reporting

Mobile device management requires a careful balance between organizational security and employee privacy.

Swif Mobile Security only activates location reporting when it is required by the organization’s configured tracking policy. The location permission is used solely to identify and display the current location of the managed device.

Swif does not use the location permission to access or collect other personal content from the device. This approach also helps reduce unnecessary background activity and battery usage when location reporting is not required. (Swif.ai)

Automatically deployed during Android enrollment

Swif Mobile Security is integrated directly with Swif’s Android MDM enrollment experience.

After an Android device is successfully enrolled in Swif, the mobile security app is automatically deployed to the device. Administrators do not need to distribute a separate download link or ask users to install the application manually. (Swif Help Center)

Swif supports several Android enrollment models:

BYOD with a work profile

Employees can enroll an existing personal device without deleting their personal applications, photos, messages, or accounts. Swif manages the separate work profile, including work applications, work data, security requirements, and data-sharing controls.

Fully managed company-owned devices

Organizations can manage the entire device, enforce supported security policies, deploy applications, and restrict device functionality. Fully managed enrollment begins during the initial setup of a new or factory-reset device.

Android zero-touch enrollment

Eligible company-owned devices can be configured to enroll automatically during initial setup, without requiring the employee or administrator to scan an enrollment QR code manually. (Swif Help Center)

Built for reliable fleet operations

Swif Mobile Security includes several technical improvements designed to support consistent performance across Android fleets.

The application is built using Flutter to provide consistent behavior across supported Android devices and versions. GraphQL is used for efficient data retrieval and timely compliance updates. Each application instance is mapped to the device’s unique MDM enrollment identifier, helping Swif accurately associate device information with the correct administrative record.

We have also improved background-service reliability and metadata processing so the application can continue operating efficiently without unnecessarily affecting device performance. (Swif.ai)

What this means for your IT team

Swif Mobile Security creates a more direct feedback loop between the Android endpoint, the employee, and the IT administrator.

With this release, organizations can:

  • Give users a clear view of their device’s current compliance status

  • Keep the mobile app and administrative console synchronized

  • Surface important security events without exposing users to raw technical logs

  • Respond more quickly to devices requiring administrative action

  • Deploy the security app automatically as part of Android enrollment

  • Activate location reporting only when an organizational policy requires it

  • Manage Android alongside macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and iPadOS from Swif

This release establishes a stronger foundation for Android device security, compliance monitoring, and remote fleet management within the Swif platform. (Swif.ai)

Get started with Swif Mobile Security
